Acceptable Amounts of Social Interaction
Introvert... Wallflower... Loner... If you've ever been called any of these things, you're my kind of people!!
Here are some things you will NOT find in this group:
- forced participation
- ice breaker games
- intense eye contact
- excessively loud noises
What you WILL find instead:
- a safe place for you to be yourself
My goal for this group is to bring together like-minded people who don't necessarily enjoy being in groups like this. One of Manna's 9 healthy habits is Fellowship: Quality Time with Other Christians. If I'm being super honest, this is not always easy for me to do in a small group setting. I get nervous about meeting new people, I don't love getting-to-know you type games... It's just a little too people-y sometimes!! But God calls us to be together, from the very beginning of Creation (Gen. 2:18).
So in order to obey God's commands, I want to help foster an environment where anyone can come and be a part of a group without feeling the pressure to actively participate or be social beyond our limitations for that specific time frame. In this group, you can expect a quick devotional that I will lead (without calling on anyone!!). After that, you can do whatever you like!! If you want to read a book, awesome!! Puzzles? Sounds great!! I will probably have my crochet stuff with me most of the time. If you feel like socializing, or if you just want to be alone with other people, you are welcome in this space.
